Differential Scanning Calorimeter DSC XP-10

The measurement principle is the well known heat flux DSC. It measures the temperature difference between the sample and the reference platform. With the known thermal resistance between the furnace, the sample and reference platforms the heat flow into or out of the sample is proportional to the temperature difference. The furnace temperature is measured with a platinum PT 100 with high accuracy and resolution. With the know geometry and the thermal lags in the systems, the sample temperature can easily be calculated. The heat flux DSC provides the following advantages:

  • Extremely stable baselines
  • Excellent signal to noise ration
  • Excellent time constant
